Because of increasing significant advantages in network data transmission,network coding theory become network researchers' wide attention and research hot spot. This article mainly described and analyzed from three aspects. They are the principle of network coding,network coding in optical multicast application in optical networks and its application in anti-destroying ability,focusing on the network coding based on the optical layer multicausal algorithm and 1 + N protection algorithm.
