An Efficient Data Compressing Method of GPS Position Data Transmission by Mobile Short Message

It is necessary to transmit combat vehicle's position data to management center by mobile short message in the information management system of armored forces.Due to the volume limit of the short message packet,each message carries limited data,so it's difficult to redraw the trail of the vehicle by the data without high cost and frequent transmission.To transmit sufficient data for the vehicle's trail,a vehicle's position data compression transmission method is proposed in this paper.This method can raise the efficiency by more than 30 times with little cost and is used in the vehicle management system.
