Application of Fuzzy Clustering to Intrusion Detection

Intrusion detection system is an important component of the computer and information security framework. Based on the demerit analysis of modern IDSs, the paper brings forward a technique that applies modified fuzzy c-means clustering method to intrusion detection. Using the data sets of KDD99,the experiment result shows the feasible and efficiency of this approach.
