An Aspect-oriented Method of Improving Legacy Systems

Many 2-tier C/S based information systems have a centralized DB to support their data storage.But when many years passed by,their centralized DBs accumulate a vast array of data,which slow down their queries and cram every bandwidth of their network.Using distributed DB as a substitution for centralized one can turn such a tough situation.With the methodology of aspect-oriented software development,a noninvasive way is given to transform the centralized DB of the systems to a distributed one without modifying the existing code of a legacy system.An example is given to explain how this noninvasive way works.
