Application of Conversion in Chinese-English Translation of Scientific Papers Abstracts

English abstract is a significant component of scientific papers.Taking into account the differences of expression ways or habits between Chinese and English,more attention should be given to the phenomenon of conversion in Chinese-English translation of scientific papers abstracts.Two usages among them frequently gain added weight,which are verbs and adjectives converted into English nouns,and verbs,adjectives,adverbs and nouns translated into English prepositions(prepositional phrases) respectively.The appropriate application of the two kinds of conversion is of help to understanding the papers for readers and promoting the influence of the papers.
