In order to overcome the problem of data collision often occurred when the nodes work at the same channel in the grid wireless sensor network for underground coal mine gas monitoring,a novel wireless nodes access mechanism is proposed in this paper.Firstly, the end devices in wireless sensor network are grouped. Then, the stochastic channel competition is combined with slots allocation. The experiments show that the slot allocation for the grouped nodes, and the transmission of data using CSMA/CA mechanism in the same slot can not only reduce the number of slots and lower data transmission delay, but also can reduce the data transmission collision and save energy. In this way,the reliability and stability of the wireless monitoring network can be improved.
