Frame Design of an Information Management System Based on GIS for Water Pollution Control in the Hanjiang River

This paper described the GIS-based information system for management of the river pollution, which is developed with the purpose of integrating geographic information with the information of river water abstract and use as well as wastewater discharging. Main functions of the system include information transmission/inquiring and environmental impact forecast and assessment of water pollution using proper mathematic models.
