Objective To explore the feasibility and merits of whole-course standardized nursing for patients with autologous arteriovenous fistula(AVF) and its advantages. Methods The process and criterion of whole-course standardized nursing were formulated. From June to August in 2011,240 maintenance hemodialysis patients with AVF were observed and randomly divided into observation group(n=125) and control group(n=115) in the Department of Nephrology of West China Hospital of Sichuan University. The observation group was given whole-course standardized nursing, while the control group was given traditional nursing.Adverse events of AVF,satisfactory rate of patients and acceptable degree of nurse were observed and contrastively analyzed. Results The adverse events rate of AVF in the observation group and control group was 8% and 21% respectively;the satisfactory rate of patients was 98.4% and 84.3%;and the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05).The acceptable degree of nurse in both groups were 90.0%,so there was no statistical difference(P 0.05).Conclusion The whole-course standardized nursing can remarkably reduce the adverse events of AVF,and improve the satisfactory rate of maintenance hemodialysis patients, thus it is recommended.
