The C3 Reference Model

He Zhang · 2004

In this paper, the authors present C3 Reference Model. It is a generic structure based on the International Standard Organization (ISO), Open System Interconnection(OSI) and Reference Model (RM). The C3RM includes ISO OSI RM as the communication types of interaction. It embrace analogous architectures for all key types of physical interactions and utilizes the application layer to provide command and control over all types of interactions in an integrated fashion. The goal of C3RM is also to provide a framework to guide the development of a coherent set of standards and implementations of interoperability and to protect extensive investment in modular reusable technologies.
