Subjective Effect and Control of Early Reflections in Room Acoustical Design

After introducing the Hass effect,the comb filtering effect and its subjective influence on listening,the subjective effect and the control of early reflections in concert hall and listening room design are introduced. The optimum lateral reflections and the optimum initial delay time are mainly explained. The formula for calculating low cut-off frequency of reflectors is also presented.
