Research and Design of Adaptive Failure Detector

Studying the effects of message delays and losses to the quality of service of failure detector, a new adaptive failure detector which is more adaptive to changes in network is designed. The adaptation of new adaptive failure detector is improved not only for the delays but also for the losses. The simulation results show that the adaptive failure detector can effectively reduce the mistake rate, further improve the quality of service.
