Storage and indexing of moving objects XML database
Xiajun Jiang · Computer Engineering and Applications Journal · 2011
To query moving objects XML data records effectively, the key is to use reasonable storage model and index structure. In order to decrease I/O operations related to spatio-temporal index, this paper presents a moving objects XML data storage model called spatio-temporal storage model, and based on this new model,it gives an algorithm called ATS algorithm that aggregates XML data records by certain spatio-temporal conditions.Focused on the shortcomings of 3DRtree and the importance of temporal conditions in the moving objects indexing, this paper also presents two new composite index structures,HSTR and HC3DR,which can support queries related to spatio-temporal conditions.Experimental results show that spatio-temporal storage model and two kinds of indexes improve query efficiency.
