Rough set based fault diagnosis for precision test turntable

Zeng Qing-shuang · Journal of Chinese Inertial Technology · 2008

The fault types and causations of precision test turntable were analyzed, and a fault diagnosis scheme based on rough set theory was presented. This method is based on the thought of indiscernibility and the method of knowledge simplifying. On the premises of keep the classifying ability invariable, discernibility matrix was used to make knowledge reduction on the fault library of precision test turntable. Using decision table as a tool, the approach could extract diagnosis rules from the set of fault samples directly, and the inherent redundancy was exposed. The experiment results show the method is practical and effective in detecting the faults, and can increase the turntable’s security and reliability.
