Investigation on the Modeling of Fiber Optic Gyro Bias Instability

The bias instability of fiber optic gyro is a nonsystematic random drift rate and its compensation is not easy.It is an important index in judging the accuracy of fiber opitc gyro.By using the data modeling methods of time series analysis,we can build the model of bias instability for the drift data of fiber optic gyro.Thus,we may use Kalman filter to greatly reduce the effects of bias instability of fiber optic gyros on the inertial navigatin systems.In this paper,the modeling process is also presented in detail.
