Semantic Inclusion Relations and Their Transitivity
Zhang Jian · 2001
Some syllogisms involving inclusion relations are semantically ill formed because some inclusion relations are apparently intransitive.Researches show that meronymy and hyponymy possess different relation elements and that the two inclusion relations can be analyzed into various sub types. On this basis,by applying the Element Matching Principle, most cases of inclusion intransitivity can be explained away.
