Blind Multi-user Detector Based on Adaptive Kalman Filter

Blind multi-user detection methods in Code-Division Multiple-Access(CDMA) system are used to eliminate the Multiple Access Interference(MAI) and the Near-Far effect.A kind of blind multi-user detector based on Kalman Filter algorithm is analyzed in this paper.The impact of MAI and Near-Far effect on system performance is analyzed and compared with the detector based on Least Mean Squares(LMS) algorithm and Recursive Least Squares(RLS) algorithm in White Gaussian Noise channel and flat Rayleigh fading channel.Simulation results show that the Kalman Filter algorithm outperforms LMS and RLS algorithm under both channels.Multiple Access Interference and Near-Far effect can be eliminated effectively and the capability of CDMA system can be increased.
