Research on ANN evolutionary design method based on populations evolution niche genetic algorithm

Aiming at the gene coding features and the model solutions characteristics of neural network (NN) evolutionary design, a populations evolution niche genetic algorithm (PENGA) is proposed. The new ANN modeling method based on PENGA has the superiority of computation complicacy, model performance evaluation and whole search efficiency. The application in power load forecasting support system (PLFSS) demonstrates the effectiveness of this method.
