Lightning Shielding Failure Analysis of Transmission Line

Based on the standard of Electric Power Industry and improved EGM,a lightning shielding failure of 220 kV transmission line of North grid of Shanxi was analysised and calculated,the result of which reveals that it is a typical high current shielding failure flash-over.The result was also compared with method from Electric Power Industry Standard,then a measure was put forward and analysised using improved EGM method.
