Tank opening recognition based on the smart camera VCSBC4018

To solve the overall automatization problem of the oil plants loading and unloading in the oil refining enterprises, the authors presented a system which has a smart camera VCSBC4018 as the core, and transformed the oil tank opening detection problem to the detection of the center of a circle.After analyzing present existing round detection technology, the edge matching was finally chosen as the secondary positioning scheme, thus after optimizing the programs, the system operation efficacy was improved, and the detection and identification of the oil tank opening were successfully realized.
