Cause Analysis of an Explosive Accident of Converter Transformer Bushing

An explosive accident of converter transformer's bushing is analyzed thoroughly.It is found out that the accident is due to inappropriate techniques of the bushing,and it is suggested that if capacitance value of this kind of bushing is above 3% to the factory-tested value,the bushing must be replaced.Combined with operation record of the oil-paper capacitor bushing,the preventive measures are presented to improve operation and maintenance situation of the converter transformer.
