Microscopic Perusal and Macro Structure:Taking the Application of Harmony in the Piano Accompaniment of Three Songs for Example

Through a layer-by-layer analysis of the piano accompaniment of The Sleeping Beauty which is a traditional lieder,Encounter which is a modern pop song and February which is a pentatonic song,a conclusion is reached as follows:the piano accompaniment has distinctive features in aspects like types of harmony and the expressive power of harmony.By means of a tone-to-tone relationship,a systematic,hierarchical,integral and interrelated sound structure eventually emerges with harmony as a unifying thread.
