The reason for function of water plugging of gel-type water shutoff agent more than its function of oil plugging

This paper has studied the reason for function of water plugging of gel-type water shutoff agent more than its function of oil plugging.The results indicate that the volume of gel-type water shutoff agents expand in water,and keep its volume in oil.And it has the ability to enter into formation with high water-bearing first.It also has the function of limitation and plugging to the passage of water.Thus.the agents result in function of water plugging more than oil plugging.
