Electronic commerce on the Internet has the potential to generate billions of transactions, but the number of merchants providing goods on the Internet will be so large that it will become impossible for users to visit each site and decide where is the best place to buy goods. In this paper we present intelligent trade agents that can roam the Internet, collect and analyze merchandise information and decide to buy goods for the benefit of the users. We also discuss two key problems in the way of intelligent trade agents.
