Service-oriented Transaction Technology in Data Grid

Data grid is a kind of distributed database storage system under grid environment.This paper firstly introduces the background of data grid and the survey of research on this field.To meet the needs of applications,it points out the concept of the service-oriented transaction management in data grid environment.Then it gives the overview of data grid architecture with service transactions,and describes the function,implementation of service transactions.Two types of service transactions with protocols are discussed to explain the ideas which are atomic transactions and business transactions.An example of atomic transaction is given to demonstrate the execution process of service transaction at last.
