A New Optimized Method of Qualitative Analysis of Fault Tree

In multi component systems, it is important to analyze the possible mechanisms for failure modes and successful modes. In this paper, based on Semanderes method and Fussel Vesely method, a new optimized method of qualitative analysis of fault tree is presented. Minimal cut sets and minimal path sets of large scale fault tree can easily be discussed by the proposed method. The internal storage space occupied by every dynamic array is immediately freed after the function of dynamic array is realized. The proposed method programmed using Fortran 90 and C++ languages can be easily used in engineering analysis.
