Fuzzy Pattern Recognition Model for Supervision of Abundance of River Basin Water Resources
Shouyu Chen · Water Resources Protection · 2002
The evaluation of the abundance of river basin water resources is an important issue for sustainable utilization of water resources. Based on the concept of fuzzy pattern recognition, a non linear subjective weight based supervision program is developed, with the minimum square sum of weighted Eulclidean distances as the objective function. During the process of recognition, sampling data are used to improve weights gradually, and objective weights and evaluated results are obtained by iteration. A comparison of the water resources abundance estimated for river basins along the coast of Liaoning Province shows that the results from the present model are reasonable. The model provides a new approach to the problem of complicated multi objective decision making and evaluation.
