A Distributed Web Log Mining System Based on Mobile Agent Technology

Web mining has changed from the theoretical research to the practical application. Web user's access pattern and usage status of websites can be found by mining web log on the web servers. An effective web log mining tool is a key to the success of web log mining. Based on the analysis of status and shortcomings of Web log mining tools on distributed website, the architecture of MAWLMS, a novel distributed web log mining system based on mobile agent technology is addressed and the components of it are expressed . The mobile - agent layer and its algorithms are presented, including the recognition of maximum forward paths and frequent traversal paths. Then MAWLMS is validated through the application of web log mining and the experiment result shows that MAWLMS system is feasible and effective.
