Implementation of High-speed Data Recording System Through Control the Hard Disk by ASPI

The paper analyses the structure of some high-speed hard disk recording systems of these days and points out their advantages and disadvantages. It is proposed to construct high-speed data recording system using high-speed data acquisition card, Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) adapter card and SCSI hard disk for that they are all economical and universal. At the same time, the paper advances a method of using Advanced SCSI Programming Interface (ASPI) in software to direct control hard disk and access data in turn. In this way, the recording speed can be improved greatly. Then test results of the system are given. The sustained record speed can up to 40 MB/s.
