The Present Situation and Germplasm Innovation of Waxy Corn Breeding in China

Waxy corn was originatel from China,there was a great progress for the waxy corn breeding these years.Found the shortcoming in breeding through the analyse of the present situation,and found the method of germplasm innovation:to increase the level for the collection and excavation of the local germplasm; to make full use of the backcross breeding and the second cycle lines of breeding;to use the physical and chemical mutation methods,genetic engineering techniques and traditional dreeding methods to improve the germplasm innovation of waxy corn.
