Hybrid-mode VPN based on L2TP + MPLS

With the development situation of telecom VPN business,a VPN application model is explored,thus to meet the new requirements by customers.The operational principles of L2TP VPDN and BGP/MPLS IP VPN are described,including their related concepts,typical topologies,and components.Based on this,a solution for hybrid-mode VPN in combining the superiorities of both L2TP VPDN and BGP/MPLS IP VPN is proposed,in which L2TP VPDN LNS also serves as BGP/MPLS VPN PE.And the application advantages of the Hybrid-mode VPN are also given in this paper.
