Simulation System for the CFS Scheduler in Linux Kernel

It is necessity to design an appropriate approach to analyze the performance of the CFS scheduler for the embed Linux system developing,which is introduced in the latest Linux 2.6 kernel.Hence,a formalized model for the simulation system is built up,and then a Linux scheduler simulation system is designed and realized.Based on this simulation system,serial of experiments are conducted for the CFS scheduler.Experimental results show that this simulation system is efficient for the scheduling performance evaluation on the embed Linux system developing in advance,and advising the scheduling policy design to meet with the custom demands,e.g.,throughput and response time.
