Preliminary Study of Oil Fluorescence Detection Methods and Its Application in Production Logging

Fluorescence techniques were used in oil exploration and development,particularly in the sphere of petroleum geology some practical research results were obtained.However,in the field of well logging,it is not seen that the fluorescence properties were used to carry out a study on logging methods.Based on the mechanism of fluorescence,the oil fluorescence properties and its detection method are analyzed,the applications of oil fluorescence detection technology in the well production logging are discussed,preliminary designs a new method about using the oil fluorescent characteristics are studied to determine the water holdup and the oil or water phase velocity in oil wells,a fiber fluorescent detection system is established in combination with fiber technology.
