Construction of a Web GIS-based forecast system of crop diseases and pests

The Forecasting Crop diseases and Pests System introduced in this paper was a coutryside counties-oriented crops' diseases and pests forecasting system formed by integrating the knowledge of remote sensing,meteorologic information,models of diseases and insect pests,and utilizing the technologies of WebGIS,database,ASP.NET,Adopted the Browser/Server architecture,this system could run the model of forecasting diseases and insect pests on the internet and put out large area remote sensing thematic map for diseases and pests at the first time,achieve the goal of providing and sharing diseases and pests information.This system could effectively improve the user's skill in forecasting and management for crop diseases and insect pests,ultimately reach the goal of effective prevention of crop diseases and insect pests in large areas.
