Overview of AVS-M Video Coding Standard

The goals of the AVS-M standardization effort have been high compression performance, low complexity, enhanced error resilience and friendly network interface. AVS-M has achieved low complexity and enhanced error resilience prior to contemporaneous existing standards. This article provides an overview of the technical features of AVS-M, describes its profile, and presents performance comparison with other video coding standards.
