Economic Life Evaluation of Power Transformer in Service

This paper proposed a concept and an evaluation method of economic life from economic operation of power transformer in service.The method considered many factors which affected economical performance of power transformer in service,and evaluated power transformer's economic life with optimized index of synthesis economy benefit.In evaluation,different reference transformers and time points could be chosen to realize horizontal and dynamical comparisons.Evaluation results can clearly present net benefit power transformer in service replacing by reference power transformer at different time,the best economic life with maximal net benefit,and economic life range with benefit greater than some desired threshold.Examples show that the method is correct and effective.
