An improved TCP congestion control mechanism TCP_RD for wireless network

According to the discussions of TCP performances in wireless networks, unnecessary data lost by corruption can be greatly avoided through the decrease of data sending rate while heavy packet loss rate for corruption lasts short time which may lead to higher reliability, unnecessary energy consumption of mobile hosts and less system overheads. Based on the results, we present an improved TCP congestion control mechanism(TCP_RD) that can be easily implemented with fewer overheads and can effectively improve reliability with small variances of throughput and delay.
