In cognitive Ad Hoc networks, how to improve the performance of the wireless network by utilizing the spectrum resources efficiently has become a hot research topic in recent years.Based on AODV routing protocol,a new CLC-AODV routing protocol was presented, including load-based routing mechanism, cache mechanism, channel switching protection for solving the traditional common problems in multi-channel cognitive routing protocol: packet loss, frequent channel switching and routing load imbalance and so on.Channel allocation was realized at network layer, meanwhile, the route should be selected according to the minimum load when a node has two same shortest paths. The respective simulation results demonstrate that it could comply with the requirements of cognitive Ad Hoc networks effectively and improve the system throughput performance, decreasing transmission delay simultaneously.
