Diagnosis and treatment of 86 cases of elderly patients with severe pneumonia

Objective To study elderly patients with severe pneumonia diagnosis and treatment.Methods The data of 86 cases of the elderly with severe pneumonia were retrospectively analyzed.Results 14 cases were recured,20 cases improved,while 45 of 86 cases failed,7 cases give up.Conclusion The clinical symptoms of the elderly pneumonia are not typical cases,critical condition,rapid progress and high mortality,if timely and effective treatment can save lives.
