Edge detection based on fuzzy theory

In this paper,we discuss the application of fuzzy theory in edge detection.An improved approach abased on fuzzy reasoning is also provided.From the experimental results,compared with other traditional approaches,this method's per-formance is always much better especially for an image blurred by no more than80%Gaussian noise and no more than10%SaltPepper noise.This fuzzy approach doesn't need additional pre-processing,such as noise filter or noise removal process.[
