Design and implementation of road information publishing system based on ArcIMS

Based on the characteristics of road management,combine the technical characteristics and advantage of ArcIMS.Making use of the previous study result,adopting B/S structure and middle plug technology,the road information publishing system based on ArcIMS is designed.The road system based on web can offer kinds of functions such as data gathering and analyzing,adding of dynamic map,route analyzing,peg orientating and GPS steering,management.It is applied to surmount the bottleneck problem caused by the simultaneous access to excessive clients.In practice it is proven the system can contribute to develop road information systems to modern road information systems.
