Planning and Design of Geographic Information System(GIS) for the Bohai Oil Field Demonstration Area

Based on the demand analysis of users,the detailed design of database and application system of geographic information system(GIS) for the Bohai oil field demonstration area was made,and the database design principle is to combine the object model and relation model.The application system design principle is to take into consideration the advancedness and practicability,openness and standardness,expandability and maintainability,safety and security,reliability and stability as well as secondary development ability.The system framework designs include the hierarchical structure design,hardware framework design and software framework design.
