Without a favourable query optimizer,even if a minitype database behaves remarkable low performance.Because of designing an actural query optimizer is unconventionally complex,usualquery optimizers of commereial databases require at least fifty person/year workload.Emphasizesparticularly on academic research.Studying the technology of query optimization in relationaldatabase,contrasts the virtue and disadvantage of all kinds of current tcehnology,presents amodel of the based-statistieal query optimizer which can be fit for the relational databases.
