Application of Germany Water Information System for Taihu River Basin Management

This article makes an introduction about software architecture,database structure and software functions of water information system(WISYS),it is a software package for integrated river basin management developed by DHI-WASY GmbH.In accordance with Taihu Lake river basin management and requirements of information management for integrated utilization of water resources in river basin,and on the basis of fully studying and drawing lessons from design ideas as well as technical strategies of WISYS,integrated management system for water resources of Taihu Lake river basin is developed.Moreover,characteristics of WISYS are also summarized for offering reference for setting up water resources information management system.
