A Brief Analysis of "Information Science Abstracts"

This paper uses quantitative-statistical method to analyse and evaluate Information Science published in 1988 in terms of coverage, announcement time lag, abstracting quality and auxiliary index etc. Mecanwhile, it makes a comparison with the statistical data of the Librarianship Abstracts and ISA(USA), describes the quality of Information Science Abstracts, and makes some suggestions to improve the quality of this abstract journal.
