The normalization of Academic Research Behavior: Rethinking and Restructuring
Bing Li · 2005
In the discussions concerning the normalization of academic researches, the value, subject and methodology of academic norms are the three comparatively important questions. The value of academic norms should consist of ontological and instrumental values; the subject of academic norms should include academic producers, reviewers and administrators. The key to seek the methodology of academic normalization lies in starting with the cause of academic non-normalization and corruption, and doing accordingly the system design, so as to make the behaviour to break the academic norms non-profitable.
