Due to diversity of operating system and communication platform, developers of communication software have to face many problems. But we may eliminate the complexity by using framework and design pattern of ACE. This paper introduces the advantages of ACE framework in communication software design and summarizes some frameworks such as reactor, event handler, acceptor, connector. Finally, this paper illustrates the flexibility and convenience of ACE by building server and client.
