Feature signal extraction based on wavelet packet

Transient signal is one of the main electromagnetic interference source in low\|voltage system, and it is very dangerous to the system and the device. In order to suppress this over\|voltage, it must be distinguished and classified. This paper proposes a wavelet\|based technique to perform a feature extraction from the disturbance signal and a classification of the extraction features in order to identify the possible cause of the disturbance. And an example was given to show the validity of the proposed technique.
