A DRM System for Embedded Terminal
Ping Wu · Microcomputer Information · 2010
With fast development of various P2P applications, such as file sharing and streaming applications, many illegal copies of digital contents are widely spread and accessed via P2P networks. It is quite harmful to the rights and interests of content providers. In this paper,a new digital rights protection method, based on existing DRM architecture,is proposed for P2P embedded terminal peers in P2P applications. This new proposal utilizes software and hardware combined configuration to provide two ways, online mode and offline mode,of issuing and using digital rights of digital contents respectively. It could not only guarantee that the legal terminal peers will access the P2P sharing contents conveniently and reliably, but also prevent illegal terminal peers from obtaining legal digital contents, which protect the rights and interests of content providers.
