The theoretical models that based on continuous or discrete wavelet Analysis of space signal of damaged engineering structure identification are erected,and systemic introduced the characteristics of wavelet functions.The signal types of damaged structure and it to the sensitivity of a wavelet function are analyzed and the relations that between wavelet function and transformation levels are investigated.According to above-mentioned theories,which wavelet was chosen are discussed for engineering structure identification by spatial wavelet analysis.
