Liu Tingy · Shanghai Tiyu Xueyuan xuebao · 2013
The study, combined eye movement recording with event ERP recording system, observed epee athletes, who were required to judge the attacking time in a competition video clip, examining their visual search features and neural mechanism. The results find that: 1) Average fixation time differs in different genders; 2) Focus differs in genders; 3) There is no significant difference in the judgment of attacking timing; 4) Bilateral matching mode of information processing exists in athletes ' brains; 5) There is a significant difference for P3 wave latencies at PO3 and PO7,though no significant difference is found in P3 wave amplitude. The study shows that epee expert has a higher accuracy of attacking timing judgment. Moreover, visual search features differ in different genders. Epee athlete has execution advantages, but no significant difference of information processing under dynamic conditions has been found in different genders.
